So you want to know how to put YOUR music in the sims 2? Well first make sure the song you want is in the MPEG Layer 3 or .mp3 format. To change a songs file type in itues right click on the song and then click convert selection to mp3. Itunes will begin converting the file and as soon as it's done, you'll hear the sound that is the same as when itunes is done importing cds. Right underneath the original file will be your new mp3 format. Right click and click get info to make sure the file format is indeed mp3. If you were successful click and drag the song file to your MyDocuments\EA Games\The Sims 2\Music\ then wherever you want to hear the music (build, buy, etc.)
Then when in the game, go to your game options, then the sound options and it lets you choose what songs to play during build/buy, etc. You have to activate your song by checking the box next to it. If your song isn't mp3 it won't show up. After you do that it should work and you should be jamming in no time!
